Only a few days after the opening of the first German branch in Frankfurt, Five Guys has now also opened its gates in Essen. We were there for you live and had an exclusive look behind the scenes of the Burger US import.
Choosing the Ruhr area as the second location in Germany may sound unusual for many fans of the chain, but in our opinion Five Guys made the right decision. With one of the largest catchment areas in Germany, Limbecker Platz in Essen is the perfect choice.
The spacious shop area is located right next to the main entrance of the huge Essen shopping center and offers seats in the interior as well as a seating island directly in the passage.for More Latest Fast Food Menu Prices Visit: fastfoodmenuprice.co.uk
78 employees, whose shoulders can be looked directly over the shoulder in the open kitchen, will now ensure maximum burger enjoyment in Essen. Orders are placed in the checkout area, the cooks get started while you are paying. Every burger, sandwich or hot dog is freshly made for you here, you won't find any hot plates here (luckily). In the waiting area it is now a matter of anticipation to watch when your number is called.
Five Guys Motto:
Never frozen! (Eng. never frozen) The only thing that is frozen behind the counter are the delicious milkshakes. In addition to the usual flavors, these are also available in unusual varieties such as bacon or salted caramel. If you can't decide, you can mix the creamy shakes according to your taste and top it with whipped cream to finish.
Fast food chains USA:
The meat that ends up on the huge burgers comes from Five Guys from Ireland. It is important here that the cattle are raised without grain fodder. The resulting high meat quality is completely convincing in terms of taste. Also Read Best Fast Food Chains in USA Detailed.
When it comes to the menu, Five Guys remains true to the tried and tested concept of “the smaller the better”. Hamburgers, cheeseburgers, bacon burgers or bacon cheeseburgers are available in their original size or in the “Little” version.
If you don't feel like a burger, you can choose from four different hot dogs or sandwiches. All variants can be supplemented with any amount of free toppings as you wish. We chose our first Essen Bacon Cheeseburger with Jalapenos, Fried Onions, Fried Mushrooms and Mayo.
The burger bun has all the properties that are important for a good burger. It tastes neutral, slightly sweet, is fluffy and holds the burger together thanks to its tight texture. The burger chain currently has the buns produced in France according to the original Five Guys recipe.
We had the exclusive privilege of watching the French fries cut at the opening. Carefully selected potatoes are freshly cut in the back rooms and immediately fried into crispy fries in the kitchen. Here you have the choice between salt or Cajun spice, a Creole spice mixture from the southeastern USA. The “Fries” are available in small, regular and large. Beware, “Large” really is Large. Two hungry people can easily be satisfied as a side dish to the burger of the size “medium”.
And then there is the drinks machine, which we already learned to love in the USA. Coca Cola offers over 100 types of different beverage combinations with a touch display.
Who hasn't wanted to try grape-flavored Sprite or Fanta peach? Now you also have the opportunity here in Germany. The refill concept from the USA applies, so you can refill your cup as often as you want.
Anyone wondering about the white sacks with red prints in the restaurant are welcome to take a closer look. Free peanuts in the burger shop? Naturally! With this beautiful marketing campaign, Five Guys draws attention to a special concept; here they only fry with peanut oil. So why not snack on some peanuts while you wait for your meal?
How was our impression of Five Guys Germany in Essen?
We experienced a motivated, very friendly team, ate explosive fresh burgers and fries and drank creamy shakes. Five guys, you've finally arrived in Germany and the long journey hasn't changed you, the burgers taste like one in your shops in the USA.
