THE BEST FAST FOOD CHAINS IN THE USA

The average American loves to eat out, and it is best to do it quickly and easily. This aspect has made the boom of fast food chains in the last few decades. Even as a tourist in the USA, you can't avoid the fast food shops.

They are arranged like an avenue on all major roads in cities. The advantage of fast food is in the name. It's quick and saves time, and fast food is far cheaper than meals in a restaurant. In contrast to SitDown restaurants, the many fast food chains do not have waiters but self-service. So you don't have to pay a tip.

McDonalds and Burger King are of course the market leaders, just like here in Germany, but there are definitely alternative shops that you can test out during your trip.

USA Unpauschal’s top 10 US fast food chains

Shake shack

Shake Shack has experienced a boom in recent years and is expanding across the United States. Delicious burgers, timeless, simple, but simply awesome. Be sure to try the homemade lemonade and custard.

In 'n Out Burger

You can only find this burger chain in the western United States. Due to its current popularity, In 'n Out has now opened new stores in Texas and will continue to grow. The offer is limited but very tasty. You get three different types of burgers, homemade fries and soft drinks or milkshakes. Furthermore, there is not quite such a "secret" menu.

Five guys

The counterpart to In 'n Out Burger on the east coast, but with a little more choice. You can basically put together your own burger. Free peanuts are given as a treat.

Panda Express

The most popular Asian FastFood store in the US. Panda Express can be found all over the USA. You can choose from 8-10 different wok dishes and choose a side dish. The top seller is the Orange Chicken.

Taco Bell

This Mexican fast food chain is widespread beyond the USA and is also the largest. Here you can get tacos, burritos and other Mexican delicacies at very reasonable prices.

Sonic

The Sonic chain impresses with its unique ordering system. There is no seating area there, but either a drive thru or a drive in. In the latter, you order at one of the many terminals in the car, pay and some time later a waitress brings the goods to the car. The food is then eaten directly in front of the terminal, known as the stall.

Jack in The Box

A burger chain with a beautifully mixed range of large beef burgers, but also chicken and special offers. The fries are fried in their peel.

Wendys

This chain advertises with "Old Fashioned" Hamburgers. It is also in the lower price segment, but is more expensive than McDonalds and Burger King.

Carls Jr.

Red with a yellow star, that's the Carls Jr. logo. The burgers are big and cheap. There are tons of other options too like chicken. As a special highlight for the calorie-conscious, the chain offers the best-selling burgers as a low-carb variant.

Arbys

A chain known for their delicious sandwiches. Be careful not to compare it to Subway, a sub is different from a sandwich. Very good roast beef, pastrami and steak burgers / sandwiches.
